Wake Up Early – You probably knew this one was coming. It’s most likely the most cringy step because if you aren’t an early bird, waking up early sounds terrible.

When I wake up at 5, is when I am my most productive. This is why I recommend waking up early. It may not be 5 AM for you, however waking up 2-3 hours than you normally would, would be perfect!

If you wake up a couple of hours earlier than normal, you’re already being more productive. This will give you extra time to get some stuff done, that you most likely wouldn’t have done that day.

Drink Some Water– No my friend, please do not wake up and have coffee, tea, or soda. Hydrate your body and get your metabolism going.

If you are used to drinking coffee in the morning or soda it can be hard to break that caffeine kick. All I can say is your body will thank you, plus your not getting rid of coffee just pushing it back a little.

Eat a good breakfast – Many of us SKIP breakfast. This really does make a huge difference in how productive the rest of the morning will be. I highly suggest eating something with protein and filling.

Not cereal, not a granola bar, and not a sugar-filled muffin. Fruit, oatmeal, I mean your an adult so you get the picture.

Do Something Physical – If you wake up and sit down for too long, you’re not going to want to do anything. After you have your breakfast, get your butt up and move.

Whether its a 15-minute exercise video, a walk around the block, or a quick pick up around the house, you need to get up and move!

Boost Your Mood – I leave this one open-ended because there are many many ways you can boost your mood. I think it’s important for us to enjoy all of this.

So if you want to write in a gratitude journal, if you want to open your blinds and light up your house, if you want to turn on some upbeat music, if you want to recite some morning affirmations or dance, all of these will work! Whatever gets you pumped up and motivated!

There you have it, sister. A Simple 5 Step Morning Routine for Beginners. I believe in the power of mornings, and I believe you have the power within you to wake up early and be productive.

I challenge you to give this a try for the next 30 days. Challenge yourself. You will wake up feeling good, refreshed, and accomplished!
